    If anyone is thinking of paddling this river, READ THIS BOOK! I paddle this stretch every year, and if you are not prepared you will have a bad time. It is one of the most remote rivers in North America and the only way out is to climb the canyon and walk out, or paddle the 55 miles to the Rio Grande. It is a well written book with lots of notes and advice, I take it every year.
