    If you want a small, coarse diamond hone, but do not want to spend a lot of money, this is it. It will put an edge not only on knives, but you can sharpen other tools like axes or large pruners with it as well. It is more durable and the best value of any diamond hone I have bought.

    Comments about Smith's Diamond Pocket Stone:

    Works well for first step in sharpening or use in the field. Final sharpening should be done with finer grit. There are no angle guides, so this may be tricky to use of you are not used to free hand sharpening. Use CAUTION when sharpening larger blades as you can easily slice the fingertips holding the sharpener.
