This book has great information on hikes in Pisgah. An awesome feature is that it gives GPS points for the trailheads for each trail. It provided a thorough description of the trails that I hiked to Cold Mountain. The book helped me prepare more thoroughly for my hike. It is a great resource for anyone interested in hiking in Pisgah National Forest.
