Comments about Merrell Jungle Moc - Men's:
These are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned--in fact, I'm on my third pair.
Since I wear them everyday I do notice that the soles don't last as long as the used to--not sure what's changed in the manufacturing. Also notice the inner lining gets trashed with use, but no more than my other shoes.
The rest of the shoe is great--easy to slip off in airport security lines, can walk around a city all day without buring, aching feet. In fact, I've never felt more comfortable on travel than with these shoes.
They used to make a ventilator moc which was the most breathable thing I've ever worn, but the Jungle aren't bad.
My feet stay dry in Seattle in light misty rain, but not so great in a down pour or winter puddles.

A nice casual “go to” shoe for the weekend. They are comfortable and durable. I just bought my second pair recently. The first pair is starting to show some wear and I didn’t want to take a change of these being discontinued.

I have tan, black, and on my second pair of gray. These shoes are awesome. When my back gets out of "whack" I put these shoes on and everything lines back up. I love these shoes

I'm on my 3rd pair and about to go out an buy 2 more pairs at REI. I just don't want to deal with choosing another shoe if they get discontinued because they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The one CAVEAT - WATERPROOF these as soon as you get them home if you don't want indelible stains. The suede like uppers will stain easily if you don't waterproof them. I dropped some soft-serve on mine by accident in a casino buffet line and they are now permanently stained - nothing can get the stain out so I'm buying the two new pairs. Also, I wear mine with a set of Dr Scholls pads.

I have to admit that I'm new to the Mock and I've quickly become a Mock fan. I was wearing the same basic shoe (not the Mock) for years because I thought it was right. I developed some pretty nasty foot pain in the past couple of years and thought I was going lame. My Doctor recommended the Mock for around the house wearing because it is strong and supportive. After a month in the Mock my pain is gone and I feel like I have new feet. I find myself wearing this shoe everywhere ... from the time I get out of bed to the time I return to the bed. I'm not a young spit and have been around the barn more than I care to share. I thought I had owned great shoes through the years until I found the Mock. Now I know what I was missing ... I'm now a Mock Man and happier for it. Thanks, REI.
Service and delivery comments:
I bought the Mock in my first visit to the REI. This was the first 'brick and morter' store I can remember in several years that felt like home. What a great bunch of folks and I'm glad to now be a card carrying member. Thanks REI.

At first, great shoes and very comfortable. Unfortunately, the soles just wear out way, way too quickly, due to most of the sole being tiny nubs. Once these nibs wear off, traction suffers greatly. The sole on the nubuck version of the jungle mocs is far superior.

Soles are wearing very fast, not stable on any rough terrain, elastic stretched out fast.

Comments about Merrell Jungle Moc - Men's:
I bought these for a Romeo-style shoe that wasn't what I'd deal with for the traditional "slipper" style shoe. I tried them on at first, and while they were originally pretty stiff, I went with them anyway.
I don't think a day has gone by in two years that I've not worn these shoes. When I've abstained from them, it's been because I needed to wash them (which you can do, regardless of the warnings. Just shove them in the washer and air dry without the linings).
Around the 1.5 year mark I replaced the insoles with more comfortable liners, but the shoes themselves haven't stopped working. The only thing I caution against is they can be a bit slippery on wet stone surfaces, but since they're not designed to be a bouldering shoe, I don't count this as a negative.

This is my every-day shoe. I have purchased 4 pairs, and am about to get my fifth. They go on and off easily, but stay on well on light hikes. Traction is as good as you will find in an approach shoe. I have actually walked up the first pitch on Whitehorse in these. They look nice, and go well with casual and business-casual attire.
My only complaint is that the soles on newer ones seem to wear faster than they used to. It is unlike Merrell to skimp on construction, but then again it is an inexpensive shoe.
Bottom line: Buy them. Love them. Repeat.

Comments about Merrell Jungle Moc - Men's:
After wearing out several pairs of these Mocs, I'm back for another pair. These are simply the best year-around, causal shoe/slipper for northern climes. They are especially well-suited for the wetness of the Pacific Northwest. The style, comfort, and durability allow me to wear them everywhere: to/from mountainbiking and road riding, short day-hikes, camping, dog walks, errands, home projects, work (ugghhh), and lounging around the house. They are limited on breathability, so when sporting on the east-side of the Cascades (where the days are sunny and warm), they can get a little hot and sticky if not worn with a pair of socks.
