The idea of blocking sunlight suing blinds should be used by all sunglasses. It allows your eyes to adjust and stay adjusted.

Comments about Julbo Micropore Glacier Glasses:

I love these glasses. As a matter of fact, I am on my fourth pair. This is problem with the micropores. They simply DO NOT LAST!!! I usually enjoy each pair for about 5 to 6 months and then have to begin repairs in order to maintain their usefulness. Each and every pair that I own currently have nose pieces that I have fashioned from dense foam that I have lying around. The ear pieces all have shrink tubing on them to hold the padding in place. The micropores have come down in price by about $50 since I purchased my first pair. In my opinion, they need to drop by another $50 to make them worth the money. I will not buy another pair until they are re-designed to improve the durability.

Comments about Julbo Micropore Glacier Glasses:

I have light blue eyes and are very sensitive to light. When I go to the beach or basically any activity that the sun was in my face I would wear these sun glasses. They were very comfortable and EASY on my eyes. All my friends who tried these on wanted a pair. The only problem is I lost my first pair while kayaking in the rain forest. The only sunglasses I wear now are Julbo.

Comments about Julbo Micropore Glacier Glasses:

REI used to carry a top notch set of glacier glasses- Karakoram, which have apparently been discontinued. The Julbo "subs" are a joke by comparison. They are ill fitting and get bent into unusable shape easily. Bring back the Karakoram!!

Comments about Julbo Micropore Glacier Glasses:

I have owned vaurnets, bausch & lomb and these brand glacier glasses. These look the best, but frames aren't all that rugged--the frame screws have fallen out, the rubber that protects the ears has split, though the company was kind enough to replace that, as another reviewer said, the miro pore thing clogs up (I use these around a lot of dust and dirt) and the nose rest things have worn away, so; that part ain't so great. However, the glass is still in the frames! BUT: they protect the eyes great, block the sun great, and for skiing/winter running I don't have a fog issue, and they held up pretty well until I used them other than for casual wear. The lenses are deeply scratched so I will be buying another pair; wish they had a frequent sunglasses buyer club! I do praise Jublo for their customer service, and would recommend these--just put them in a rigid case & treat them gently.

Comments about Julbo Micropore Glacier Glasses:

Look, these are GLACIER glasses. They are great for mountaineering and I've used them on class V whitewater rafting and skiing too. They are wonderful for all these purposes.Other reviewers complain about durability, scratched lenses, etc. If you use these as your everyday sunglasses then well maybe that is the case--as it would be with ANY sunglasses.I've had these for 10 years and pull them out when I need a good reliable pair of adventure glasses. For daily use buy some Foster Grants at [...]for $15 for goodness sake...
