Comments about AlpineAire Chicken Gumbo:

In the usually mediocre world of freeze-dried dining, this Gumbo stands out as a satisfying entree that has a nice balance of authenticity, good texture and spicy heat. I like the good sized chunks of Okra complemented by the right proportions of onion, bell pepper and a bit of celery. The texture of the chicken is not quite what I'd like to have in a real gumbo, but the flavor comes through nicely.

Note: With the recommended amount of boiling water (2.5 cups) it is actually more like a Jambalaya (which I prefer), but if you like the more soup-like consistency of a Gumbo, you could add another half cup of water.
