Comments about Mountain Hardwear Ev 3 Tent:
This is the best tent on the market. Last summer this tent and I spent many a nights together on some large mountains. This tent was my santuary on a freezing Baker and an extremely windy Rainier. It may be the perfect tent.It is extremely easy to set up. We used only four guylines to hold the fly down (it's freestanding) and thats all it took. I was forced to sleep with two other large smelly guys, yet there was still pletty of room and I never felt cramped. It's a simple tent to pack. We split up the fly and the tent and had two roughly same sized loads which easily fit into a compression sack.In terms of ruggedness, this tent is bomber!! At camp sherman on Rainier (9500ft) we encountered the worst wind storm I've come across on a mountain. Winds were strong enough to flip other 4 season tents with people inside. Other tents collapse from the wind. This tent was the only tent to go unscaved with minimal flexing (mind you we only had 4 guylines in the snow as well). This only proved that this tent is bomber. The only downside: who wants to spend [$] on your tent? The price is high, but equaled in value.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Ev 3 Tent:
I'm not a mountaineer, but i've spent a fair amount of time camping in the snow and snowshoeing. i've tried other tents for snow camping including other single walls, but this tent delivered. Me and two other friends camped in the mountains above sonora california three nights on a snowshoeing/camping trip in this tent. if you sleep like the diagram shows with two heads by the door and the third in the middle towards the back of the tent there was enough room for all three of us in winter bags(close fit)and all our gear. in these conditions your not gonna be doing any yoga in your tent, but there was plenty of room, and in that configuration with the sleeping bags in close proximity you get better insulation. the ventilation was great with the vents open, very little condensation that had no effect at all. and even with the vents open in the morning when we got up our thermometer in the tent said 42 when out side it read 20. I probably would use a regular two wall light tent for warmer conditions to avoid real condensation, but for the snow this tent is simple, way way lighter than two wall tents of similar strength like the trago, and everything on this tent is bullet proof. good design, better materials and actually not that heavy.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Ev 3 Tent:
Great tent. Have set up in blinding snow storms on Mt Rainier at 12,000ft, on Mt Baker in great weather, Mt Hood in 60 mile an hour winds and this tent took it all. It is tight for three but pefect for two with gear. Better than the 2 person model which I also own. This tent is light and easy to set up. Ventalation is good, not great, but you quickly learn how to use the many vents. You will love this tent the first time you set up. For a single wall tent it is dry, dry dry.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Ev 3 Tent:
This is the sturdiest tent I've ever slept in. This definitely isn't a 3 person tent though, best for 2. Very waterproof and you can shake off all the water drops and it's dry and ready to go. Make sure to keep the vents open and get a good draft because otherwise there will be condensation. It also gets hot in the sun. Door design could be better; lets snow/rain in when opened. No significant problems, definitely a good investment.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Ev 3 Tent:
This is another great expedition tent from Mountain Hardwear. I'm truly amazed at how little condensation this tent gets. I've used it in sub-freezing temps' and had no condensation at all. It is truly amazing to have a single-wall tent that has little if any condensation. This tent is well worth the price and performs better than any other single-wall tent that I've seen. A must have for winter backpacking.

Bombproof shelter. Best for two guys though. The two doors are on the same end, really just two half doors-sort of cool.
