Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

This is a great product and should be purchased along with any tent. I've thrown one of these in any tent bag used for camping as it's light, cheap and we never have to look for a hammer in the car. There's no need for it backpacking but any other tent it's a great addition.

Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

I like to think I can get steaks in the ground without having to use a tool, but this mallet packs a punch while assuring you dont bend a steak. drives steaks through dry tough ground. Extreamly lightwieght.

Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

This was the mallet to seal the deal. As you are traveling across the states by bike for any length of time, weight always is a huge factor. This mallet weighs no more than my camera! Yet it still pierces the tent stakes into hard ground like its nothing. A key feature that I liked was that one could saw off the handle, to make it smaller to fit in his or her panniers better. Keep in mind by doing this you lose some of you force while pounding in the tent stakes. Yet the handle also has holes for one to pull up the tent stakes- which makes it nice at times too!! All in all this product is a must because of how light it is.

Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

My fiance and I went on a winter camping trip along the Californis coast. Since we were backpacking we did not want to carry those heavy rubber mallots... this worked perfectly and was light and durable. Handled a month of camping, weekly use.

Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

I have only taken this mallet with me on a handful of camping trips, but thus far I am very pleased with it. This mallet is much lighter than my previous rubber mallet and still functions just as well, if not better. I have not had any problem driving stakes into the ground so far. It is extremely lightweight and best of all, affordable. A must have for tent campers.

Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

Sometimes the ground is too hard and using your boot creates bent unusable stakes. I guess I am not extreme enough about weight to leave this handy mallet behind. I also wrap duct tape around the section where the handle meets the mallet. This has proven to be quite handy.

Comments about Coghlan's Tent Peg Mallet / Puller:

This mallet really packs a punch! Too heavy for backpacking IMO(although I have a 13 oz mug in my pack!) since I can just use my boot.
