im loving my new kilt. feel great nice and light. size fit perfect. just wish there were more color options. other then that i love it. be prepared to get some looks from people while wearing it. i dont care about that and nethier should you. bring back the kilt we need more kilt wearers.

Rome was built and the entire known world conquered by men wearing skirts.  They are entirely practical.  Pants were invented in 500 BC, but not worn much until around 1700, when English royalty foisted their new fashion innovation (think Redcoats) on us.   <br/><br/>The Mountain Kilt, with its conical waist and other design innovations, moves with the body without the slightest interference.  It only touches you at the waist and gently brushes your thighs at the hemline when you walk.  No ugly pleats, tartans, or sporrans; it's comfortable, completely practical, and looks great!</p></div><div class="pr-review-text"><p class="pr-comments-header">Service and delivery comments:</p><p class="pr-comments">Thanks, REI for carrying this product. I wear jeans in a size 40, my waist measures out at 41". In theory, and XL should fit comfortably. Unfortunately, not so... If I can get my weight down and my waist to a 39 or 40", I expect it to fit well. Rome was built and the entire known world conquered by men wearing skirts.  They are entirely practical.  Pants were invented in 500 BC, but not worn much until around 1700, when English royalty foisted their new fashion innovation (think Redcoats) on us.   <br/><br/>The Mountain Kilt, with its conical waist and other design innovations, moves with the body without the slightest interference.  It only touches you at the waist and gently brushes your thighs at the hemline when you walk. I wear jeans in a size 40, my waist measures out at 41". In theory, and XL should fit comfortably. Unfortunately, not so... If I can get my weight down and my waist to a 39 or 40", I expect it to fit well.
