Great shoe, my third pair! Not too supportive on uneven rocks, but great for most day hikes!

Comments about Montrail Hardrock Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I've bought these four times -- that's not a critique, it's a huge complement! Every year, I put about 600 rugged cascade miles on these, then replace them. They've been great doing long hikes on the PCT, scrambling high on Mount Hood, hopping rocks on the Loowit trail, everywhere but crossing steep snow. The fit for my wide foot is great, my orthotics fit in just right, the fit is highly adjustable and stable, and I've never had a single blister. The only thing that might improve them is a goretex liner. Happy trails!

Comments about Montrail Hardrock Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I am an avid walker and hiker. I severely overpronate and have trouble finding sneakers that will accommodate my orthotics and give me the additional support I need. But these sneakers rock. They are comfortable and supportive. The only down side is that they aren't optimal for hiking on severe uneven terrain as its pretty easy to turn an ankle. I use them for light hiking and walking on multiuse paths, etc.

Comments about Montrail Hardrock Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
Very easy to wear shoes. Excellent insole......which allowed me not to use my orthotics with these shoes. I wore them all day long for three days without any discomfort. A winner for me. ;~)))

Comments about Montrail Hardrock Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
These shoes work for me, I do need the Superfeet insoles to keep my knees from hurting, but this combo works. Impressive to me considering I wear Birkenstocks which spread the toes, making others shoes uncomfortable. I have New Balance Trail Runners, I like their laces, but they are not as supportive to prevent side-to-side motion.

Too stiff for pavement but a perfect runner for any rough terrain. Hugs the heel with roomy adjustable forefoot. A very durable shoe with a long life.
