Great for couples or families (or even to lay on by yourself). We have used this on several occasions, ranging from sitting on the deck to camping to the beach to outdoor concerts. It is incredibly comfortable and fun. It's a little bulky/big, but for its size, it isn't too heavy and is easy to carry with the carry case that comes with it (it has a shoulder strap). It has sat outside our tent through storms and is dry the next morning. Haven't used it in the winter (yet), but I can imagine it will work great (if you don't mind a little extra in addition to your other witer gear). But there's nothing better than enjoying a beer on a quiet, remote beach with someone special sitting next to you.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
