My dog and I go hiking a lot, so ticks are common for both of us to get. I can get them off me just fine with this - but trying to get them off my dog it difficult. If he fidgets or moves as I'm trying to line it up, it can squeeze or cut the tick (which is messy and disgusting for both of us).

If your looking for something easier, I recommend the Tick Nipper. It's bigger, but much easier to use for me and my dog.

I live in central North Carolina, where the ticks are really little. We go outside our apartment (close to a wooded area) and my kids and myself get a tick at least a time or two a week.

This thing works great on little ticks. I have the Tick Nipper (Item # 407126) too, but it doesn't seem to work as well on the little ticks as the Pro-Tick Remedy.

Plus, I love how it fits on my keyring. We were at Chick-fil-a last week when my wife found a tick on my daughter. I was able to take her outside and because I had the Pro-Tick on my keyring, I was able to get it off right then.

I have very long haired dogs and found this to be an easy solution for tick removal.

Today I went with friends to a heavily infested area and becuase I always have it in my pack all three of us were able to quickly remove our "guests" without leaving anything behind.

I recommend this to anybody traveling in tick country.
