      Comments about Pattern Strap With Buckle - 24-inch:

      I put two of these on top of my REI Venturi 40 pack to hold extra gear if needed. They are the correct size to pit into the loops already on the top of the pack. I then stitched two into the back of the pack to help hold my Platypus hydration bag onto the pack so it does not rub against the webbing. I also stitch two of the 1 inch wide plain versions with side-snap fasteners to the bottom for holding a bed roll or whatever else I need on the bottom of the pack. These 3/4 inch straps are very secure and do not slip. However they are also fairly stiff and can be a little hard to tighten quickly, but I think that may be a trade off to prevent them from sliding when fastened.
