Comments about Standard Blue Foam - Sit Pad:

If you make a hole near one corner, reinforce as desired, and put a light rope loop on the pad, you won't have to worry about it blowing away. I use mine on my canoe seat as well as around campsites. I'd find it a nuisance without a cord because it doesn't take much wind for it to blow away.

Comments about Standard Blue Foam - Sit Pad:

Just saw these in REI. I was surprised they actually sell this. Everyone I know just cuts up old foam sleeping pads. But if you don't have an old pad you want to butcher, then yes, this would definitely be worth buying. (It's a little big, so you can cut it even smaller if you want to fit it in your pack flat.) If you're going to be sitting down for a lunch break in the rain or the snow, a bit of foam will make your experience 10 times more pleasant. Your butt will never freeze. It's so small and so light and so worth carrying.

This is a great little pad to have along on any trip. Best use I can think of is in the back of my duluth packs for padding on my back.

Comments about Standard Blue Foam - Sit Pad:

This is the best thing I have ever bought for my wife and I, seriously the best. It is super light... makes any wet rocky spot comfy to sit on. Helps a bunch in snow to not freeze. It is easily blown away but when not in use I just put a pack on it. Put it under our hips at night so we dont have to pack as thick of sleeping mats (so it is like it is negative weight!)

Comments about Standard Blue Foam - Sit Pad:

On rough, cold, or wet trails, this handy pad provides a dry, warm seat.
It's weightless, indestructable, straps anywhere onto your pack, and does not absorb water in a downpour or blizzard.
For snow sports, it practically disappears amongst other winter gear.
Sometimes I forget I have it, it's so lightweight. Once in a windstorm as I was kneeling on it to adjust photo gear, it flew away when I stood and I had to go find it wedged in dunes far down the beach.

Comments about Standard Blue Foam - Sit Pad:

An okay idea, but pretty unnecessary most of the time. However, it does work well for putting under the hips if you need extra padding at night.
