Comments about Delta Lockable Bike Hitch:
Mounts fairly easy to the bed rail. But it is not secure. Even if you use the lock you can rotate the mechanism back and forth and get the nut on the end to come off, this makes the lock useless. It's also pretty tough to get the lever tight enough to make the bike stable. Most recently a pin came out of the cam end and it is now useless. I have just purchased one of the more common bike rack brands for twice the price and believe it will work better. Stay tuned.

Comments about Delta Lockable Bike Hitch:
I was having trouble finding a way to store my tandem road bike. I finally found this, mounted it to a board (painted the same color as the wall), then mounted the board high on my basement wall. Now I simply remove the front wheel of my tandem and raise the front end almost to vertical and clip it in. The rear wheel still rests on the ground, but the bike is almost vertical, so takes up very little room in the corner. It works great!

Comments about Delta Lockable Bike Hitch:
The problem with this is that it is hard to open. Once you have it open, the pin does not open up far enough to get the forks out easily -- in other words the cam does not provide for enough travel. And one other thing -- the cam itself is poorly designed -- it has a very small area of connection to the concave counter surface and then it releases all the way. It makes for abrupt and unwieldy usage.
