Linda Ellingsen

Linda grew up farming in western Washington. While attending Washington State University, she had her first experiences with backpacking, rock climbing and river rafting in an outdoor recreation class. Though it poured most of the days on those inaugural trips, she was hooked. Whether it's running a trail, hitting the slopes, snowshoeing or skiing the backcountry, cycling road or off-road, backpacking, paddling next to orcas or downriver, Linda wants to be out there. As a writer, she has been thrilled to write about her favorite things. She has also been a product tester for REI, Cascade Designs, SmartWool and Merrell.
