by fromExcellent tent This is my second Mountain Hardware tent, and this tent has served me VERY well. I've used it in perfect dry weather, multiple rain outings, as well as a strong lightning storm which dumped heavy hail and snow on Mt Whitney Trail. The tent with poles and footprint weigh about 4.1 lbs using my multiple scales, so not sure why the specs show it as heavier. While it's not the lightest tent available, this tent is easy to carry, durable, VERY roomy, and has had zero issues with condensation or letting wind and rain in. This really is a two person tent. During the hail storm on Mt Whitney, after my hiking partner's tent was flooded, he was able to climb into this tent with me to share the shelter and we had plenty of elbow room. It's completely free standing, which is convenient, and it sets up very quickly. I love this tent!
