by HardwalkerfromBest hiking shoe everI use these shoes for walking (2 miles a day). I wear them with my orthotics and can say that they are very comfortable, provide stability and cushioning, and are much lighter than my Asolo hiking boots, which I purchased last year. I would highly recommend buying these lightweight hiking shoes. I wish they were a little snazzier looking, but for the price, I can't complain. My feet are narrow and these were the only light-weight hiking shoes that fit with thick socks. I also tried Ahnu, which had really cute colors, but those were too wide for my feet.

by Ling0314fromLight Weight and ComfortableI bought these prior to a hiking trip to the Grand Teton National Park. My other hiking boots I used for the same trip the year before were a bit too heavy for me. I did have some concern as to how my feet would feel as these are so light and, naturally, thinner than my older boots. After hiking 3 canyons, these lighter boots did not give my feet any trouble and my legs were happy with less weight to carry. No problem walking on trails paved with crushed rocks. The shoe is a little narrower than other hiking boots that I have worn. But it is actually an icing on the cake for me because I don't have to worry about the sides of my feet getting blisters due to friction. I was still able to layer two pairs of socks without my feet feeling pinched in any way. I have not tried to test its water-proof quality. But I don't really care if they turn out not to be as I did not buy them for that feature anyway. I love them so much when I realize that REI still has them on sale, I bought the second pair. Now I'm all set for the next few years. I hope Teva continues to come out with new models that are just as good as this closed-out model.

by ChicaloonfromTerrific Teva Trail ShoesVery pleased with these Teva Trail shoes. The proof is in a recent trip to Alaska. Great traction on uneven terrain, lightweight, durable, comfortable right out of the box. No breaking-in period. Gave these a workout with ever-changing Alaskan weather. Kept my feet dry. Good looking shoe. I went up a half size, but thick socks might take full size up. Great purchase!
