Comments about Asolo Double Shot Waistpack - 2013 Closeout:
I had hoped to use this for long runs with my dog, when I need the two bottle holders. We don't share. Too many problems to deal with to make it work, though. I am a small woman with very little hip or fanny, but I couldn't find a spot between the middle of my hips and the middle of my ribcage, where the top of the waistbelt didn't gap awkwardly. I was able to secure it enough that it didn't bounce, but it meant making it pretty tight. The tiny front pockets are located under the fastening and load stabilizing straps, however, so, unless you have magic toothpick fingers, it's impossible to retrieve anything in those pockets, especially, if it is tiny and at the bottom (ie, a tube of chapstick).....which you absolutely want to do because whatever is in the pockets under the belt is absolutely poking into your hip bone with every step, despite the padding. to easily retrieve these items impressing themselves into your hip, requires loosening the belt or taking it off. And if I wasn't grumpy enough already with this pack, which is attractive and seems to be well-made, otherwise, there are three straps across the bottom for securing extra gear. Nice, except that they hang down about a foot and all three slap you in the fanny. Admittedly, I used larger/taller bottles than came with the pack (like a bike bottle size), but the placement of the holders wasn't good for me either. Every return of my elbows caught on the tops of the bottles Maybe a guy would have a better fit, or maybe I am just the wrong shape. Didn't work at all for what I wanted.
