The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Nite Ize Inka Mobile Pen + Stylus:
I've been putting this little pen to almost daily use for the past month and am generally pleased with its performance. If you are going to have a pen that is constantly available (on your person, that is) this is not a bad choice. It has the advantages of being small and lightweight, plus it has that built in carabiner clip so that it can be secured to something (keychain, cell phone case, or belt loop). As a pen it performs reasonably well. The ink delivery is smooth and consistent, the pressurized ink cartridge is nice for writing in less than optimal (angled writing desk) conditions, and though I don't use it much, I suppose the electronic-sensitive stylus is value added. I always say about any piece of equipment... "what's the best _____?" (in this case "pen"). Answer: the one that you have on you. This light, clip-on pen is unobtrusively handy where some other, better, but heavier pens are not always. What isn't so great about it? Honestly, the screw on cap arrangement worries me a bit because of past experience with equipment held on by screw threading. It hasn't happened yet, but I can envision the day when I look down and find only the carabiner cap dangling from cell phone case because the pen has rotated itself free with jostling and gravity. Also, for longer periods of writing, alas, this pen design is not the most ergonomic. I remedied this a bit with the additional of some silicone tape wrapped around the grip portion of the shaft. That aside, I am happy with this product and would definitely buy it again. As an interesting side note, I would like to mention that it IS refillable and that the refills themselves make good mini-pens. In fact, the Inka refill is precisely the same dimensions as the tiny mini-pen that comes in the side scales of the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife.
