    • S-Rocker™ applies a unique contour to the Barracuda; entry rocker extends from the nose to under your front foot, and then transitions to camber between the feet
    • Slightly tapered shape and directional flex combine with S-Rocker to create a floater that goes up, over and through anything
    • Compressing the camber causes the entry rocker to naturally lift the nose, improving float while maintaining speed through deep-driving pow turns and variable conditions
    • Nug Raduction optimizes every element of the board, from flex profile to sidecut, letting you downsize up to 10cm from your normal board length
    • Nug Raduction boards ride the same as a traditional length board, but offer a surprisingly stable and responsive ride; Burton recommends sizing Barracuda down 2 - 3cm
    • The Channel system offers unlimited, on-the-fly stance adjustability, enhances board feel and is compatible with EST™, Re:Flex™ and Disc® bindings
    • The Channel lets you fine-tune your stance width to the millimeter, and then dial in your toe-to-heel centering and rotate your angles in one fell swoop
    • Wood core is snappy, powerful and durable; dual-zone wood grains, positioned along the toe and heel edges perpendicular to the core, enhance edge hold and add strength
    • Fiberglass in the topsheet provides versatile flex and response so you can shred your big mountain descents
    • Lightweight Carbon I-Beam™ riding up the board's spine adds to board's longitudinal snap
    • Tapered thickness in tip and tail reduces swing weight and improves powder flotation
    • Edges extend out slightly beneath the bindings for tremendous edge hold in hard, icy conditions, but they remain playful and forgiving in softer conditions
    • Sintered WFO base combines high and low temperature-reactive waxes with a durable and absorbent, high-density sintered material, making it superfast and low maintenance
    • Burton snowboard deck and base colors may vary from online photo

Burton Barracuda Snowboard - 2013/2014 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pow Slayer Stats - 6'2", 210lbs, board 165cm, setup 1/2" back from reference Use so far - 1 day on some East Coast ice, 2 days in-bounds with boot deep Utah powder, 2 days on the snowcat with knee to thigh deep pow. Executive Summary - Perfect Pow Board, better than expected on piste (even in ice). My previous pow rigs include a 172 Supermodel and a 168 Canyon. I thought they were both pow slayers, but I was lured to S-Rocker by the siren song of no rear leg burn. However, I didn't want to travel with more than one board, so I was looking for something pow-tastic while still being acceptable in-bounds. Ice - Barracuda is totally serviceable. My Canyon cuts better trenches but this thing will keep you upright. Good Groomers - Barracuda is pleasant. You could ride this all day on groomer and be happy. It's definitely not a locked in bomber like the Canyon and the nose rattles about a bit at high speeds, but it's quick and easy edge to edge. I never felt like it was gonna wash out on me, even when I got after it. Pow - This is the real deal. Rear leg burn vanquished. Crazy quick, think it and it does it, turn to turn. This board make pow effortless, coming from camber it feels like cheating. You can keep your weight centered and it stays up, or you can lean back and get surfy with it. Lastly, I'm sure a Fish, Hovercraft, or similar is just as awesome or awesome-er in the deep stuff, but I like the real deal tail for making sketchy landings in the back seat (keeps my options open and avoids the face plant). Oh, and pow wheelies are easier. This board is not a compromise, it's a Grade A pow ride that happens to perform elsewhere. When I travel west, it will be only with this ride.
