    • Thermoplastic urethane shanks offer greater structure and underfoot support than most minimalist shoes
    • 4mm heel-to-toe drop encourages a fore- or midfoot strike, reducing heel strike impact
    • Nylon mesh uppers with polyurethane overlays provide lightweight comfort and support
    • Polyester/nylon linings wick perspiration away from your feet and then dry quickly so your feet stay cool, comfortable and odor-free
    • WT1010v2 Minimus trail-running shoes feature EVA midsoles for superb flexibility and a featherweight cushion
    • Vibram rubber outsoles provide lightweight performance without compromising grip or stability; updated lugs on medial sides increase traction

    New Balance MT1010v2 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Men'sis rated2.5out of5by2.
Rated1out of5byfromNB 1010v2The 1010v2's are a nice shoe their ability to shed water thus drying out quickly and the sticky Vibram sole keeps your foot stuck to the ground. The good news stops here. I've gone through two pairs, purchased else where, of the 1010v2's the first pair began to fall apart in the first 3 months and within 6 months the sides had multiple tears and the Vibram soles where coming off; this was at about 300 miles. The second pair has lasted less than a month and less than 50 miles before the sides of the shoes began to rip, within two months before I reached 100 miles the sides have big holes; maybe that's why they drain so well.

Rated4out of5byfromLight and nimbleI've been running in both the NB M10V2s (w/ 4 mm drop, and a "true" barefoot shoe) and the NB M810V2s ("minimus" w/ 8 mm drop and fair amount of cushion). Both work great for different conditions. The M10s are light and nimble, but you can take a beating on rocky trails, or after 8 or so miles. The M810s save your feet, and are pretty light, but have more of a drop. I wanted something that combined the two, which the M1010s do quite nicely. They're barefoot light, have adequate cushioning and rock protection, aggressive tread. The only problem I've experienced is a bit of slip in the heel, but then, I've only run on them a few times.
