The Patagonia Snowshot 3-in-1 insulated jacket delivers all-in-one versatility from the slopes to the village. Wear the waterproof shell or the insulated liner jacket on their own, or combine them.
Rated5out of5byDavid in the OutdoorsfromStayed warm on the slopes and offThe fit for me was a bit odd.. I am 6'1 - 6.2 and about 200 lbs. I initially bought the medium and loved the fit but the snow skirt was a little high and if I took the inner shell out and wore it separately the sleeves came up onto my wrists. I went back to REI and got the large and love it but the sleeves on the shell are now quite long and fall a bit too far. Keeps me warm while skiing even when windy and cold!
My only issue is with the pockets - hand pockets are not lined so they offer little warmth. There are not a lot of pockets in general but this isn't a huge issue for me - all I need is a credit card and my lift pass.

Rated5out of5byPT the PTfromWorks perfectlyI have skied two days in NW snowstorms in the last week. Both days I was snowed on all day. I was, warm, dry, and comfortable to 26 degrees with two layers of polypro and the jacket. The pants are just as good. This is the best ski jacket I could ever imagine. The hood works perfectly with a helmet. My only suggestion would be a pocket on the sleeve for radio controlled ski passes.

Rated5out of5byAlahandrofromGreat multipurpose jacketGreat fit and useful pocket locations.
I have used this jacket while hiking with a 30 lb pack. Very breathable with great pit zips to control heat buildup. I love the functionality of the 3 in 1 system. A rain shell for mild wet days, a warm synthetic jacket for moderate cold days and both combined for wet and very cold days. I used this jacket while hiking through the Sierra Nevadas' and I always had the perfect combo for any weather. It's a little expensive but once you use it you will know that the quality is worth it. I do not know how useful the Recco locator will be if there's nobody around with a receiver to find you after an avalanche but I don't plan on getting buried anyway.

Rated4out of5bySuburbanitefromGood first impressionThis jacket has replaced a North Face 3-in-1 that has served me well over a number of years.
The Patagonia 3-in-1 is a finely made product. I have worn it several times when the temperature was in the high twenties and was very warm. The relaxed fit will also come in handy so I can wear additional layers underneath the jacket if necessary. The big negatives that stand out for me are 1) the pockets for your hands do not have any fleece or other warming material and
2) there is only one pocket on the chest.
But there are positives. For one, the sleeves have zippers which can be opened to vent your torso when the temperature isn't so cold. Another plus is the construction of the hood underneath which I can see. And while I don't ski, I know I will definitely appreciate the powder skirt which will keep out the cold on those blustery days.
All-in-all I am very happy with the jacket. I will have to make some adjustments given the Patagonia's construction and that's more a matter of preference than issues with the product itself. My hope is that this jacket will last as long as my North Face which will then translate into what the value truly is as well as how durable the jacket really is.
