Rated4out of5byArtsy OutdoorsyfromAlmost Paradise! We live in NYC and carry our heavy laptops for long hours each day to and from work, then around with us to dinner, theatre, whatever.
I bought this for my boyfriend, along with a discontinued Surge II so he could compare the two. They are so close to being exactly the same backpack (obviously the Surge II is just an updated version). He ultimately went with the Surge II because it has slightly better pockets and is easier to access the front zip pouch, which is lined with soft material for a phone or glasses.
BUT the basic design and comfort level is nearly identical. (The comfort level IS identical, in his opinion). If you don't mind a slightly weird front flap system (that's pretty unpractical) the basics of this backpack are so stellar that it will carry you and all your stuff for years and years. It's really nice!
For the price, you can't beat it.
