Comments about The North Face Surge II Daypack - 2012 Closeout:

I'm a shift work guy. Spend most of my days bouncing back and forth and every once in a while it seems I get to go home to my wife and kid. I bought this backpack because on top of working 56+ hours a week I decided to go back to school online and get another degree. This bag has been an absolute life saver. Zippers are stout and don't foresee any problems with them. Compartments are perfect. (I thought it was going to be too big but I usually end up being grateful I have extra space). Computer department has a nice pad on the bottom where the computer will get the most abuse. Side zip prevents the laptop from falling out when you forget to zip it up. Main compartment holds my folder (which is a 3" zipper binder that is about as big as any I have seen) plus a couple of college level text books. Organizational compartment is methodical and practical. Little zipper pocket on top is perfect for portable mouse. Side zipper on lower right holds charger and cables. Opposite side is mesh and holds a medium gatorade. Even the two front zipper pockets are awesome. It looks like one pocket with two zippers but it is actually 2 separate pockets. I am 6'1 and 185 lbs and this bag fits me great. Might be a little bulky looking on a girl but the logistics of it would make it worth it. All in all I give this a 5/5 because I am very happy with it and can't even think of ways to improve it.
