Comments about Sugoi RS Tri Shorts - Men's - 2012 Closeout:

I'm planning on my first tri soon, and wanted proper shorts to make it easier. I sprung for these because they are the cheapest REI has and I wasn't sure what I'd want in a pair, so I could return them if I wanted. Turns out, these are great. The key pocket is just right, and I definitely wanted one, and the rear pocket is just big enough for 1 or 2 gels. I was mildly concerned it would be a possible problem swimming in case I didn't use a wetsuit, but it's nice and slim.

The best part and the reason I'm writing this is the padding. More comfortable than my bike specific padded shorts, and that's because it's more streamlined. Since one is supposed to run in these, the chamois is thinner and smaller, which leads to it being more comfortable for me. I may never buy bike shorts again, and instead ride exclusively in tri shorts.

For what it's worth, I'm 6' 175 lbs coming from a mostly running and backpacking background, with a Charge Spoon saddle
