I use this and several other North Face shirts I own for any activity that I do outside either as an underlayer if it's cold enough or by itself if it's above 50 degrees. I also layer it when using my drysuit when kayaking and I really like how it keeps my body dry by how well it wicks moisture away from my skin. I use it when sleeping in a sleeping bag and it easily increases the rating of your bag by 5 or 10 degrees by how well it retains your body heat. You can't go wrong with North Face.

I bought this shirt because it was on sale. I got so much more than I bargained for! I used this shirt this past weekend when I went with my sons Boy Scout Troop to San Jacinto for an overnight snow camping experience. The shirt was lite enough to layer but kept me warm and dry during the hike. It was a 3 mile hike and I used this shirt as one of mt 3 lite layers. I didn't use a heavy jacket to keep warm. There was snow all around, temp was in the 40's during the day, and dropped to high 20's at night. I kept the layers on the whole time and only used my down jacket at night. North Face shirt was perfect!
