by Mike G in CharlottefromComfortable and WarmUsed these pants for the first time skiing on Sugar Mtn, North Carolina. Temps were mid to low 30s. Only wore basketball shorts underneath and these snow pants provided excellent warmth and comfort. The integrated Velcro belt system negates the need for a belt, which helps tremendously. I know I will have these for a long time.

by boots10fromGreat shell pants exactly what I wantedI got these to use around the house shoveling and snow blowing the driveway and sidewalks, walking my dog around the neighborhoood and they are great for that. They easily side over my pants or thermals and I'm good to go. Water and wind proof. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs and 30" pant waist, I bought a size small and they perfect fit, the legs do not drag the ground.

by JoshOchofromGreat ski pants for the priceI've used these pants several times for skiing and snowboarding and they work very well. I've been in cold conditions (-30 F wind chills in Breckenridge) and warm as well (>35 F in the Poconos). These pants aren't insulated, so as long as you layer appropriately on the cold days they work well. I like the fact that they offer versatility in this area. On cold days I wear long underwear, fleece pants, and these as an outer layer and I'm warm. On the warm days I just wear the long underwear and these pants and generally get hot.
One great aspect is the thigh vents, which can be opened to get a nice breeze and cool things down. The fleece lined pockets are easy in/out and a nice feature. The pants also have adjustable waist straps for max comfort.
A couple of things I don't like about the pants are that they don't have a zipper opening on the lower legs, which is a nice feature to make them easier to get on/off. My biggest complaint, though, is that the 'relaxed' fit of these pants makes them ridiculously baggy. I generally wear medium clothes with a 33 waist, but the 'medium' of these pants is too small to layer under, so I got the large. The large fits fine on the waist with layers, but the legs are so baggy all the way down that it feels like I'm wearing a parachute in high wind.
Other than that, I really like the pants, they are a good buy.

by David MifromPerfectEven though they aren't insulated I stayed warm in these with a light polartech base layer down to 10F. No wind or water got through. In the afternoons I got pretty warm in them and the thigh vents came in handy. They seem to wick moisture well too. I didn't notice my base layer or my legs being damp at all. Red color was true to color on the website. Skied hard at Whistler for two days and they show no signs of wear. Time will tell though... I'm 5'10", 155lbs and the Medium - Regular length is perfect.
