I haven't taken on the tail yet but I did 2 shake downs in my yard and this was great. I was plenty warm during some unseasonably warm times in Baltimore. I used the NF Cats Meow bag and this Big Agnus Pad. Would recommend any version. I'm 6'3 290 and I fit fine on the long version. I saw complaints about the blowing up...for it being so light weight, ultra durable, and super-comfy... and me being a brass playing musician...didn't find it a problem. Buy it!

On the first trip with these I slid down the vertical ridges all night long on a very slight incline.
The pad also did a very poor job of providing insulation against the ground.
On the second trip the pad failed and refused to hold air for more than an hour.
Returned to REI.

I actually purchased the Long version for a Big Agnes sleeping bag system, but wasn't crazy about not being able to move my legs around, so I returned the Long pad, and bought the wide/long. I'm 6'-1" and 175 lbs, so not really big by any means, but I have wide shoulders, and I toss and turn a lot, so I tend to fall off my pad. This is quite a comfortable pad under my down sleeping bag. Works well in under 30 degree weather. It does take time and breath to blow it up, but it's not a big deal. It's a little bulky, but I can manage the extra space and weight in my pack. Good product!
