Comments about Yakima SprocketRocket Bike Mount - 2012 Overstock:

This was by far the nicest bike rack I've ever owned. I bought it to use alongside my Yakima Viper rack (which was also good) and was pleased at how much easier this one was to install and remove. Honestly, it was a lot nicer than the Viper, and if I was buying a roof rack again I'd make all my bike trays this one. The sad thing is that I only got to use it for about a week before the entire roof rack was ripped off my car (all the towers and racks had Yakima locks installed, but that didn't stop the thieves from causing nearly $1k of body damage to my car to rip the entire assembly off, towers, locked trays and all).

My suggestion would be to go for this rack even though it's pricier than some of the other Yakima racks, then you can take advantage of how easy installation is and remove it whenever you're not hauling bikes. I guess I left it on bc my viper rack was challenging to remove and put back, and it had been on my car for months with no issues - so I was in the habit of leaving my stuff on the car. It really stinks to walk outside and see your entire roof stripped.
