Comments about Chariot Carriers Cougar 2 Stroller / Trailer Chassis with Strolling Kit:
Bought this in March then went back and got 20% off with my member coupon which took a little bite out of the cost. Easy to collapse and attach to bike. Has great storage and vents on the inside for added circulation. What brought me to purchase this trailer is the helmet shelf and back support. Our old bike trailer had no helmet shelf, so when my daughter fell asleep or wanted to sit back and relax her neck, she was unable to due to the hammock style seating. With the cougar she is able to rest her neck, tilt her head back and relax. When she falls asleep, her helmet rests nicely in the helmet shelf. Its also very roomy and comfy. Sometimes my 6 year old gets in it and rides along with his sister. My only tiny issue with the trailer is the location of the brake. When the storage compartment is down in the back, its pretty difficult to release the break with your foot. I pretty much have to bend down and release it with my hand. Overall, very high quality and worth the cost.

Comments about Chariot Carriers Cougar 2 Stroller / Trailer Chassis with Strolling Kit:
The trailer is very well built and it doesn't seem like Chariot compromised on designing this product. I live in an area that doesn't maintain the sidewalks or roads very well and also has a considerable amount of rocks and plant debris that gets washed onto the surfaces commonly travelled over with a stroller/trailer. The Cougar does a great job of getting us over these obstacles without a problem. My daughter is only 6 months old right now and she is a bit too small for the harness system that comes standard so I either need to buy the additional infant kit or just double her feedings to get her to grow a little more. The ability to switch setups is incredibly easy and it is great that REI includes the stroller wheels in their kit.
The down side to the trailer is that is much wider than I had anticipated. If we had a garage it wouldn't be a problem, but it is far too wide to pass through a normal sized front door. Each time I go out, I have to collapse the trailer and then set it up again. It is easy to break down and set back up, but my complaint about that it that the frame doesn't lock closed. So trying to carry it through the doorway requires trying to keep it from springing open. I am also concerned about the foam padding on the grip. It's been my experience that the kind of foam Chariot used ends up getting chunks taken out of it easily. I guess I'll just use bar tape to replace it if it gets to that point.
I am certainly glad I purchased it despite the price being a little high. Once I got ahold of the product it was clear why it cost what it did. I would much rather pay more for better quality than find something cheaper that doesn't work or hold up as well - and this product delivered.
