Overall a great product. The conversion kits are very simple to swap around. The product is made very well. The ride is great. I'm just not sure that paying more for the CX2 is worth it. I think it might be better to stick with the Cougar. The major difference between it and the less expensive Cougar are the sunshade, drum brakes, and handle bars and unfortunately I have been underwhelmed with the latter two.

We received the CX2 as a gift via the mail so we weren't able to try it in the store first and the handle bars are just not that impressive. The hand brake is attached at a very awkward position that makes it hard to reach. You will need to adjust it with an allen wrench but I can't find one that is the right size! Also, the grips, no matter how you adjust the bar, position your wrists at very awkward angles - either too everted or inverted.

I don't know how necessary the drum brake is. If you are running on hilly terrain it could be very important, but if you are sticking to flat surfaces you probably don't need it. The front sunshade is very nice to have and it does not appear you can purchase this as a separate accessory - but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $$$.

It is also good to know that the double carrier will not fit through a standard width door frame. You'll have to collapse it, pick it up, and turn it sideways to get it through.

Bottom Line - Try out the CX or CX2 first if you can and make up your own mind.

I have an older model with the running and biking kits and LOVE it! It's expensive but amazingly durable and based on the new model they've made incredible changes to make it better (brake on handle, etc.)
