I was looking for a shoe like this one. It is comfortable and although not very light, is solid for hiking and camping. I have used it for camping and small hikes and the verdict is that they are comfortable. Since my feet and knees tell immediately when a pair of shoes aren't right for me, I can say that these shoes a good buy! The only thing is that the feel a 1/2 size big and hence the 4 stars. But then again, after a long hike, you might need the extra room for your feet to expand!!

I love my Merrell's better than these.. Not a bad shoe.. Though my Adidas Cross trainers do not have Gore Tex, feel way better than these.. May take a while for me to break these in.
