Comments about Salewa Rapace Gore-Tex Mountaineering Boots - Men's:
Great boots, very sturdy and firm, but comfortable at the same time - a difficult combination to come by. They are very light for mountaineering boots, overall of a high quality, have adjustable soles (which helped me avoid blisters), and require little breaking in. Compatible with hybrid crampons. I only had an issue with my first order, where the right boot had an imperfect seam that put extra pressure to my foot. After replacing it to another pair of the same size, everything worked well.

Comments about Salewa Rapace Gore-Tex Mountaineering Boots - Men's:
I will start saying that I opted for these boots because I have used salewa gear specifically harnesses on via ferrata in Austria and GErmany. I am a brand loyal guy when I find a good product. That being said I orriginally wanted to buy the 3 season alp trainers. They were out of stock so I opted for these and well, these boots are great and versatile. That is if you are the more serious type of adventurer. I live on the east coast of the USA and so they are pretty much over kill for 3 seasons, however, for winter in the Mountains of New England they are great. Very stiff at first they break in to be a little better and are still rigid enough for crampons. They aren't insulated but are at least good to below zero not sure how far though. They are light and comfortable and have above average traction in the snow. I did feel a little bit of a hot spot on my heel my first hike but this was straight up the expert trails of mount snow in Vt. this how spot did not prove to be a blister though. All this being said I ordered the Alp trainers also as soon as I returned home as I was impressed with these boots so much that I decided I needed two salewa models for different seasons
