The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Deuter Superbike 18 EXP Bike Pack:
I commute in Seattle year-round and have used this pack for about 5 years. OVerall it is a nice design, light and perfect size. I like the pockets and the rainfly. THere are a few features that are not very useful for me: Helmet holder (I cut it out after 3 years of not using it), the built in vest (never used it) and hydration bladder (I use a water bottle - it's so much easier to deal with). So I don't think those features are worthwhile. I also am disappointed that after about 3.5 years the fabric within the zippers started degrading and ripping, making the front pocket zipper unusable. Same is happening to the main compartment zipper, and then one of the zipper pulls broke off. So the zippers are a weakness on this pack. If they got rid of some of the less useful features (I'm guessing 9 out of 10 commuters don't use those features) and used higher quality zippers, this would be a perfect pack. I'm switching to an Ortleib pack now to see how I like it. I'm probably gonna miss all those compartments but we'll see!
