Comments about Amundson Source Stand Up Paddleboard - 11' 6":

I recently purchased the 11'4" TR from REI, I'm 110 lbs, and the board fits me perfectly! It glides with such easy, and I don't have to lug around a huge board, I was so grateful for that. The only down side is that it's not quite stable enough for me to get my 50 lb dog, Riley on. I assumed this would be the case when I bought it, so I figured I'd buy another board next summer for my dog. Well right after I got the TR, my dog was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, and it just broke my heart because he LOVES riding with me. Our vet told me that Riley needs to swim regularly to keep his legs strong. I felt terrible buying a board that wouldn't suit my dog, because when we paddle he also gets to swim. So I called REI, explained the situation and asked them if I could exchange the TR for the new 11'6" Source. REI was so awesome, and they let me exchange the board. I didn't think the Source would glide as well as the TR, but I was wrong! Everyone who sees the Source has been blown away by it's style and quality – and well so am I. I can paddle that board long distances with my dog and keep up with the big guys. It's great in chop, surfs well, and glides with ease on flat water. Fantastic board, Fantastic REI customer service - THANK YOU REI!
