Rated5out of5byfromGreat bikeThis bike is a great deal for the price. Quality drivetrain and front suspension mounted to a sturdy frame offers a great ride. I have put about 70ish miles on my Talus since I bought it a few weeks ago, about half of which have been on the trails at Point Mugu State Park. The bike handles great on all aspects of the trail. The SRAM drivetrain shifts smooth and handles climbs very well. The RockShox front suspension has a exceptional feel to it and with the Geax 29" tires this bike grips the trail in the faster down hill trails. The only complaint is the seat is not comfortable at all and the stock pedals don't offer much grip. Both of these were changed out with minimal cost. I love this bike and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality bike for various riding conditions.

Rated4out of5byfrom2013 Raleigh Talus Comp 29erI just got into the hobby. I knew i had to spend a little money for the bike to not be a pile of junk. This bike is nice all around. Tires are good. Components are good. Shocks are good(air, not spring) Seat is very hard - will change in future Quick disconnects work well. Derailleurs are good. They engage hard when you put power to the pedals. Ex. going uphill at speed while shifting. I like the controls, both are under the grip for thumb use. Not heavy nor light - 30 lbs I think. Rolls nice and fast compared to a 26" wheel. I ride hard and all over the place. Dirt, mud, gravel, asphalt, concrete, water, stairs, logs, trail. I do it all and hard. Bike is holding up well. I sincerely dislike the tubes. I've repaired them 6 times so far. 4 patches in rear, 2 up front so far. Its really quite annoying. Don't know if its user error with too low or too high PSI, but I find my tires low or flat when I want to ride. Overall great bike, invest in different tubes if you ride harder. Ill be looking for puncture+- proof tires to replace these junkers. Enjoy.

Rated5out of5byfromNice BikeI took this bike across 500 miles of paved and unpaved roads in the land of Iceland. I have no complaints. It goes up mountains very well. It is super fast with little effort on paved roads. It was easily dismantled for travel and easy to do routine maintenance during the tour. I am not sure I can come up with a complaint.
