    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated5out of5byfromTrekking Poles give me outdoor freedom! In hilly Western NC, I couldn't get out and walk with these bad old knees. But with these trekking poles, I'm in the woods, on the trail nearly every day, and getting stronger, having fun, enjoying nature. They telescope to fit in my car, and I always have them at the ready. They also make great noise to scare away black bears! Worth every penny.

Rated4out of5byfromGood polesHiked throughout Utah with these poles. So easy to collapse/extend, light weight & fun color. The poles fit into my pack loop holes well & never bothered me when I wasn't using them. I did get rubber tips that were very stable when hiking on rocks.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat product at a great price!!Used this for five days while hiking Yosemite. Performed very well. Perhaps not as durable as some other more expensive products, but they will not be used frequently enough to justify that expense. Even so, these poles are durable enough to last a VERY long time with the proper care. Also, you can not beat the comfort of the grips. Cork is the only way to go when buying trekking poles. Bottom line: PERFECT!

Rated5out of5byfromwas great for climbing in the mountainsI bought this set just prior to my recent backpacking trip. They worked beautifully! The Power Lock feature worked great and was strong. They gripped the rock and the dirt trails. In addition, they slide down to be small enough to pack in my suitcase.

Rated5out of5byfromMade backpacking easierI picked these up at the last minute before a weeklong backpacking trip in the Sawtooths and am so glad I did! Navigating rocky trails and getting across fallen trees was SO much easier with these. I also liked the boost they provided me on the steep uphill climbs and the stability on the steep downhills. I didn't have any problems with them at all. I may upgrade to a more expensive pair with shock absorbers one of these days, but I definitely won't go backpacking without some kind of trakking pole again!

Rated3out of5byfromReasonable valueThey're perfectly fine. They collapse not easily but under a a lot of pressure. Once on a 7-mile hike, under all my weight. But, that is hardly ideal. If you are doing a long backpacking trip, buy a better pair. If you are just trekking around, save your pennies & get these.

Rated5out of5byfromWould walk a mile with thisWe went on a weekend retreat to a place with various hiking paths. My wife used the poles while hiking. The hike was more comfortable as the poles provided the needed support for climbing hills. They adjust easily and are very sturdy. The fact that they collapse make it ideal for packing on trips.
