Encouraging a natural running motion with a 0mm heel-to-ball drop, the barefoot-inspired Merrell Bare Access Arc shoes have a cushy midsole for greater comfort on long runs.
- Synthetic leather and nylon mesh uppers combine a glovelike fit with maximum breathability to keep your feet comfortable all day long; rubber toe bumpers protect feet
- Reflective hits increase visibility in low light
- Lycra® neoprene linings offer padded in-shoe comfort; Aegis™ antimicrobial treatment helps deter odor development
- 8mm thick EVA midsoles provide cushioning for long-distance runs or new exploration of barefoot footwear
- Rubber soles have 2.5mm lugs with sticky rubber pods for excellent grip and durability
- The all-synthetic Merrell Bare Access Arc shoes are vegan friendly

These are my favorite of the minimalist running shoes. I have wide feet and it is quite difficult for me to find lightweight, flexible shoes that fit me properly. Many shoes use material that is very restrictive at the widest part of the foot. These shoes, however, have a nice soft material that has some give. I use them for walking and hiking (not running) and they have held up pretty well over the last year. I just bought my second pair and plan on buying a third.

I got these for running and walking, but I need a pair of shoes that my calf and foot feels well supported. These did not feel like they would hold up. I broke my Tibia a year ago and have just started to get back to my old routines. When I put this shoe on I felt it lacked the support I need for comfort and pain free walking/running. There were reviews of how comfortable they were after certain injuries, but I would not reccomend if you recently sprained or broke your ankle.
