Comments about Giro Monaco LF Bike Gloves - Men's:
I bought these gloves from the San Carlos, CA store a few days ago. They are nice looking, comfortable, have soft leather, easy to get on and off.
I wanted something warmer than my fingerless gloves for the cooler days/times in the Bay Area, and these seem good for that, but fair warning: these are good for "cooler" weather, not COLD weather. I estimate the ideal temperature range for using these gloves to be 47-70 degrees Fahrenheit.
This morning it was 47 before sunrise in Redwood City, and my hands were plenty warm while climbing King's Mountain Road. It's a lot colder at the top (high 30s?), and on the way down my hands were painfully freezing cold, almost to the point of numbness, and it was difficult to keep my hands on the brakes.
I will have to buy warmer gloves before I attempt that again. REI: I suggest you clarify the description. Otherwise great gloves for moderate weather.
