    The Outdoor Research Crocodile® gaiters keep snow out of your boots while snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or climbing glaciated mountains.

    • Gore-Tex® nylon uppers are waterproof and breathable; durable lower panels of coated Cordura® nylon are lined with packcloth
    • 2-inch wide rip-and-stick closure at the bottom allows adjustable fit for different boots
    • Tops close with adjustable 0.75-in. wide nylon webbing straps and low-profile cam buckles
    • Tapered at the ankle to reduce crampon-catching fabric; asymmetric bottom edges provide a sleek, snug fit around boots
    • Rugged BioThane® webbing instep straps with buckles secures the fit; instep straps are replaceable
    • Use the double-riveted boot lace hooks to keep the Outdoor Research Crocodile gaiters from shifting

    Gaiter sizes fit U.S. boot sizes as follows:

    • Small fits men's sizes 4 - 7 and women's 5.5 - 8.5
    • Medium fits men's sizes 6 - 9 and women's 7.5 - 10.5
    • Large fits men's sizes 8 - 11 and women's 9.5 - 12.5
    • X Large fits men's sizes 10 - 13 and women's 11.5 and +
    • XX Large fits men's sizes 12 - 15, women's N/A

        I like stopping to take photos and soak in the sights not to pick rocks and other stuff out of my boots - gaiters keep me going. In stream crossings I get a a little more time before my boots take on water and when crashing through the brush I get a little extra protection on the shins. No matter what the conditions, hot, dry, cold, wet, snow covered I always wear gaiters and these OR Crocs can take a huge amount of abuse and still lock tight, fit comfortable, and keep the junk out. I'm on my second set - the first set is still OK I just wanted to freshen-up the look.

            With little technical tweaking over the years, the OR Crocodile Gaiters are the standard that other companies hold themselves to. These are first mentioned when one says the word 'gaiters' and with good reason. I have had the same pair for almost 15 years; and even after ample abuse, they are still as effective as when I purchased them in the late 1990s. They are versatile for multiple seasons, applications, and boot adaptability. Get a pair and see for yourself why these are the real McCoy-other full gaiters are just an attempt at the OR Crocodile design.

                I love these gaiters. Wore 'em for a month through the Desert (with a capital D), couldn't tell you what it feels like to have sand in your shoes. They are bomber. I leave all kinds of traces when I am marching through the brush with invincible armored Crocodile legs. Seriously, these are great. I must be getting old if I'm this excited about... gaiters.
