Comments about Osprey Ariel 75 Pack - Women's:
I originally bought this pack for a ten-day hike in Costa Rica, full of mud and limbs and all types of things that snag. I've since used it on several other backpacking trips, and besides a little tint of mud on the straps, it looks brand new. I'm 5'2'', 110 lbs, and I can carry up to 40 lbs in this pack without a complaint. It's incredibly comfortable, came in an XS, has great pockets, is very light and seems to be extremely durable. The only thing I'm not sure about is how useful it will be if I try to "backpack" around europe and NZ this summer...I mean the hostel type of backpacking this time. I also am paranoid about losing a strap so I always pack it in a huge REI duffel if it needs to go on a plane.
I can fit boots, a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, food for ten days, 3L bladder, clothes and god knows what else in this bag super easily. It's like the bag gets bigger every time I put something else in it....
For multi-day hikes, I cannot recommend anything as much as this pack, especially if you're a little lady like me!
Picture is with a rain cover on it. WHICH YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE.
