    Mounted on a Surly CrossCheck. The sliding clip, which mounts the rear fender to the brake brace, is made from cheap, stamped metal that broke almost immediately.

    I thought I had ordered some SKS fenders, but I ended up with a set of these instead, and I couldn't be happier about it.

    The fenders were more difficult to install than normal fenders. I had to cut notches out of the rear fender to fit between the chain stays, and as another reviewer stated, I also had to cut down the excess length off of the fender stays (just less than an inch for 27" wheels with 1 3/8" tires). Luckily I had a Dremel.

    these fenders prevent a lot of front spray with its long fender nose. The only issue is that you need a dremel cutter (which I have) to remove the excess rods. the picture does not show the rods cut yet.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
