The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
Bought this for daily commuting and long rides (25 - 100 miles). Fit is good but could be a bit tighter at the cuffs to keep it from moving up. So far it is comfortable, will have to see on the durability, as I have only put about 125 miles on them so far. Compared to similar products, it is a great deal.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
I ride about 150 miles a week and after using a winter bib and enjoying the fit and feel I want to try a bib shorts. For the price these are impossible to beat, at about 70-50% the price of any other brand, and it doesn't come at the cost of quality. Although not as nice as a high-end bib or short, its pretty comparable in performance. The padding is a bit thick, but comfortable. My guess is the was a quality vs comfort issue with cost control, and in the end, although you are wearing something thick, once you are in the saddle you don't really notice it. The legs came up a bit short on me, but I kind of have odd proportions with most of my height in my upper body. Those who wear XL and really need the inseam might find this a bit short, for me it was a close call but it fits pretty well. The material is not too elastic, so I'm not sure how well it will wear over time, but 1.5 months in these are still in good shape, over all comfortable, and like I said, you can't beat this price in bib shorts.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
One thing that I have learned about Bib Shorts in my years of cycling is that if you ask 25 riders which is the best one--you will get a recommendation for 25 different brand/model shorts.
So while this Bib may work for you--it did not for me for the following reasons:
--The front is too high up my chest. Unlike the model picture--it is past my bellybutton and uncomfortable and this would make is difficult to so to the men's room fast on long rides. It was like have big bloomers on.
--The gel in the chamois is so high that it moves around when you sit on the seat--it basically pushed me forward on the seat and pulled the chamois to the side enough that my sit bones were then exposed to the seat with no pad.
--The mesh back and straps are OK, but not the most comfortable--they kind of irritated.
--The legs have too much material, and gap too much creating a poor appearance.
Other companies make a better Bib at this price point and I would like to see REI return to the design table and make a world class bib.
But if this Bib happens to fit you well--definitely give it a try.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
I have worn these shorts for a few weeks. I have not worn bib shorts before, and was convinced by another REI reviewer's post to buy these. They are simply great. They are very comfortable, good fit around legs, bib straps certainly make the crotch fit correctly during the entire ride, with no discomfort at all from the straps-you don't even feel them. These were way cheaper then most other bib shorts but cannot imagine why I would buy more expensive ones.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
I have a pair of the Strada shorts and like them a lot. Recently I started moving towards using bibs only, so after discovering that REI had the same (almost) shorts in a bib (the Ferreros), I decided to get them on the spot.
The shorts are really good, so I compared the differences between them and the new bibs. Same padding, same number of panels, almost exact same material. Two differences I found, one the middle panel in the legs seem to be a little different in material, I like the stradas better, although I don't think it makes a difference. Second, the stitch in the chamois. The bibs have a zig zag stitch which is weaker (in my opinion) versus the double one in the shorts. I've found that the zig zag stitch will start to tear sooner compared to the double stitch seen in the Stradas. Other than this, the bibs feel confortable. I've used them a couple of times and like them a lot. Lastly can't beat the price specially when it can be combined with the dividen and extra % off.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
This is a very comfortable, lightweight bib and I would recommend it for a training bib or general riding. It feels a little to flimsy for a hardcore ride or a race as they tend to ride up my legs. This is not an issue with tights on during colder rides.

Comments about Novara Ferrero Bike Bib Shorts - Men's:
First off I never give 5 stars as there is always room for improvement. 4 stars is as close to great as I rate, so 3 stars is pretty darn good. I purchased these bibs after a lengthy discussion with the REI sales rep. He said bibs are the most comfortable way to go. I have a pair of Norava Strada shorts and really like the chamois, so I thought I would try these. I did not want to spend big $$ on PI not knowing if I would like the bibs. I don't like them, I love them. I ride about 50-70 miles a week in the FoCo area which includes some nasty hill climbs, but that does not mean I don't enjoy the occasional beer and burger. Meaning I have a small micro beer and burger gut. The shorts are comfortable but the waist line always rubs, which makes the climb up the Horsetooth Reservoir dam all the more painful. These bibs remove the waistline from the equation, not to mention they make the form fitting jersey fit all that much better. My only complaint is that the shoulder straps are...less than comfortable. They are actually a little itchy at first. After a 5 miles or so they feel fine. IF you are thinking about moving on to bibs, you can't beat these for the $$. I an not tall (5'8) but about 15lbs over weight and the mediums place the chamois in the right spot.
