    This jacket is best utilied during moderate stop and go aerobic activity in dry cool or windy conditions. Its ultralight weight makes it a great emergency carry item during backcountry travel or while on belay during multipitch climbing. Think of it as a down vest with the additions of wind resistant breathable wicking arms and hoodie. I've paired it with an r1 hoodie while hiking in sub 30 degree snowy conditions and underneath a shell while snowboarding in 20 degree weather.

    Its a specialized garment whose potential isn't realized on city streets or non athletic endeavor.

      This jacket is average and delivers what I'd perhaps have gotten from another product for half the price.

      > The core is warm but not spectacularly so.

      > It hangs clumsily if you have anything in your pockets (keys specially, but even wallets or other things) and while I haven't been to the outdoors yet with this, I always need storage in my jacket so that's a major con(pun intended, considering the price tag) in my book.

      > It looks and feels durable, but I haven't had it for long.

      > my only unqualified praise would be that I've been complimented over the color of the jacket by many people.

      I should admit I fell for a brand name this time so I feel like a sucker. But then, perhaps I haven't used it in the outdoors yet...and that's where it performs.
