These shorts are lightweight and very comfortable. They are also very durable. I've worn them on several 6 to 10 mile hikes and they show no sign of wear. They handle the brush and rocky terrain easily. The last hike was a long ten miles in pretty warm weather. They felt comfortable the whole time, did a great job wicking away the sweat and there was no chaffing.
