The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Brooks PureConnect 2 Road-Running Shoes - Men's:
I bought the last version of the Brooks PureConnect. I wanted to try other minimalist, lightweight shoes (even more expensive shoes), but I didn't get the same tight fit that PureConnect offers.
I finally came back to Brooks and bought the PureConnect 2. I am just as satisfied with the PureConnect 2 as the PureConnect 1.
I typically run 6 miles a day on trails and roads about 5-6 days a week. I have never had a problem with discomfort and I get all the arch support that I need.
The shoes are lightweight, but unlike other minimalist shoes, the fit is remarkable. I found other minimalist shoes to be pancake-like, whereas this shoe is narrower and wraps around your foot. You feel more like a jack rabbit than flat-footed. I think the great fit has a lot to do with the design of shoe because it has a mesh wrapping around the foot and the use of a 4mm drop. Zero drop shoes just don't provide the angle necessary to propel yourself forward efficiently.
The only setback is that I have found the shoe lace placement to not be perfect. I always find myself having to retie my shoe because it is either too loose or too tight. I never had this problem with PureConnect 1, but it sometimes takes me a while to get the right degree of tightness on these laces.

I had been running in a pair of merrell trail gloves which I love, but when I began training for a tough mudder event and started running on pavement my feet where always sore. I tried another pair of merrells but quickly took them back and followed the advice of a friend. This pair of Brooks are now my absolute favorite shoes to run/workout in. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for!

I wanted a low profile shoe mostly for the gym cross training and kick boxing .I tried on several minimalist shoes - This one is a notch up from Minimalist but still pretty flat - the thing you notice is the comfort, arch support, and glove like fit . I don't run much except on the treadmill and they feel great.

LOVE these shoes! I have been wearing Minimus shoes for over a year which I loved, but these shoes put Minimus to SHAME. I am not kidding...
The reason why I say this is because Minimus have very little if any support, they are what they are, a shoe with minimum support, weight and feel. I do love my Minimus, but these shoes manage to do that but also give you some great support between your feet and the road. They are so light and comfortable that is feels like I am walking on carpet everywhere I go.
Not to mention, they look great, wayyyyy cool looking.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this shoe. I normally run in a pair of Vibrams, but wanted to try something different.
The shoe is lightweight and fits well. I think there is too much padding, especially in the heel. The sole is also narrow, which is fine for running on pavement, but when I ran on trails I had trouble keeping my footing. Even twisted an ankle at one point on uneven ground.
The shoes also hurt my arches the first couple times I ran in them, but I have that problem with any shoe that has arch support. Luckily, it got better once they were more broken in.
Overall, I'm not terribly impressed, but they are good enough I'll keep using them for a while.

I have the original version, which I love. These shoes are lightweight, very breathable, snug to my foot and seem to make my legs feel better than others have in the past. I would highly recommend them:)

I bought these for a trip to California and wore them for 6 days with tons of walking around Disney Land and various parts of Southern CA. Super comfortable as if they didn't exist even when waiting in lines for long periods of time. Only issue I ran into was when I had to walk through a down-pour one evening and my feet certainly got soaked. The good thing is that taking out the insole over night and the shoes dried perfectly! One of the most comfortable shoes I've worn both for walking and running around on pavement.

These are great. After trying several other shoes including the 5-fingers and the Merrell Barefoot these work very well for me. I own the first model. They are a Heel-Toe running style shoe but I can also do Toe running with them. The cushion in the heel is good and the toe is thin enough to keep you on your toes. They are light weight and breathable. Slightly narrow in the toe for me but I have a very wide foot and they work well for me.

These shoes are hands-down, the very best running shoes that I have ever laced up. I was instantly a full two minutes faster in my three-mile daily loop. Buy these shoes!!!
