The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Patagonia Simple Guide Jacket - Men's:
Jacket fits well (large) and performs ok as a 4th layer in weather. You'll need a vest/fleece under it on cold days and a power stretch/water wicking mid layer on wet days. It soaks eventually :-/ This would be a good jacket to get groceries in or if you work with a lot of layers. I like a 2 or 3 layer max setup. 4 layers was too much and I returned it.

Comments about Patagonia Simple Guide Jacket - Men's:
Used this mostly going around school during a chilly Sacramento valley winter day. Sufficiently water resistent but it was not quite as windproof as I would have liked. It was fine when the sun was out and I was walking around, but when the sun went down and I was waiting for the bus it was not effective in the 40-50 degree range with mild wind. Expect to need layers or be doing some physical activity to stay warm. I didn't expect it to be a dead of winter type of coat but I think I will turn it in for the slightly beefier Adze jacket.
