Comments about Cannondale Quick 5 Women's Bike - 2013:
Prior to buying this bike I hadn't ridden in many years and so I was looking for something that wasn't expensive or intimidating. The Quick 5 delivers exactly what it claims. It's extremely lightweight, nimble, and stylish. I felt very comfortable on this bike versus other models I tried. I bought the petite version, since I'm only 5'2". My position on the bike is a bit more upright and I'm not as hunched-over or straining to reach the handlebars as I would be with a more sophisticated bike.
This bike leans more towards road than mountain bike and is best for paved or dirt paths. So far, I've taken it out on three rides: 20, 25, and 30 miles, all on paved bike paths. The rides have been great and I haven't experienced any issues with the bike. The seat is okay. I invested in some good bike shorts and that helps, but as time goes on I may consider changing the seat. And did I say lightweight? I can basically carry this thing around with one hand, no problem. I think I have handbags that weigh more.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the Quick 5. I was nervous about riding again, but this bike is fun and I look forward to every ride now.
