by ussarrfromGreat Binoculars!I went with the 10x25 option given the overall feature/weight/price combination. So far, I have only really used them on-base, but they seem to be a fine product. They aren't Steiners, but they do have their qualities. I've noticed that I can quickly zoom in on a prop plane or jet and follow them with no difficulties. There's practically no bounce with the 10x. The optics are coated and clear. Also, the center hinge stays put and the thumb wheel is smooth. If I tilt them back too far however, the focus knob hits my forehead but so what, right? The eye cups fold back so I can use them with my glasses, but I'm so accustomed to taking my glasses off for long periods of viewing that I don't bother turning them back. They aren't water or fog proof, but I've read reviews where people have dropped them in a creek and then just left them in the sun to dry out. They even came with a cute little case to make me feel safe on rainy days.
